Did you know that Lorene Park properties come with covenants written by Lloyd and Corriene Franzen in 1953? All new owners are supposed to be given a copy when they purchase a home. These bylaws include notes on building fences in the front yard and not using your property for “offensive trade” and dumping rubbish.

Are the homes in Lorene Park still subject to these covenants? You really can’t keep chickens, even though the city allows it?

Hi Sean – I believe it’s up to 3 chickens allowed and no rooster. It’s the same rules as the city for Lorene Park. The covenants are more guides and courtesies with your neighbors. Thanks for asking, it’s a good question.
